Defense Personal Injury firm seeking admitted entry level attorney with some experience in Labor Law and/or general liability defense, who is hard working and motivated to learn. MUST BE ADMITTED TO PRACTICE LAW IN NEW YORK STATE TO BE CONSIDERED, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!
Salary commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities include working on certain aspects of personal injury litigation. You must have the following experience: making Court Appearances including preliminary, compliance, status and pre-trial conferences in all boroughs of New York City, Long Island, Westchester and limited upstate (Orange, Rockland); arguing various motions before the Court; drafting/opposing motions for discovery, dismissal and summary judgment; and drafting/opposing discovery responses.
The Ideal Candidate for this position must be willing to travel several days per week, work in the office on non-court days (no remote), punctual, dependable, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to multi-task, be organized, thrive in a fast-paced atmosphere, be able to work independently and with supervising attorneys, pay close attention to detail, have pride in work product, have the ability to meet strict deadlines and get along well with co-workers.
